- Develop and manage a budget for the section to ensure sufficient resources to carry out research and development activities.
- Manage costs to ensure that you are maximizing the return on investment for your R&D activities.
- Effective translations of identified customer needs through execution of appropriate NPD and NPI ideas and concepts for the sub-system / Product line
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and new product development opportunities
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and customer needs
- Generate and develop new ideas for product development and improvement, using a variety of techniques such as brainstorming, design thinking, and problem-solving
- Present ideas and concepts to cross-functional teams and management for review and feedback
- Work with the R&D team to bring ideas from concept to prototype stage
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executives, customers, and suppliers, to present ideas and progress updates.
- Ensure compliance to TQM, ACDE, ISO and EOHS
- Support Manufacturing and Marketing groups to ensure high product quality and customer satisfaction
- Execute improved processes for Product / technology ideation
