Makerminds is a vibrant and innovative makerspace dedicated to fostering creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning experiences for young minds aged between 7 and 17 years old. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Math mentor to join our team and inspire our learners in the exciting world of mathematics. As a Math mentor at Makerminds, you will play a vital role in shaping the mathematical minds of our learners and cultivating a love for learning.

**Responsibilities**:
Teach Mathematics: Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate math lessons, catering to learners aged 7 to 17 years. Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and ensure all students are actively participating and understanding the material.

Curriculum Development: Collaborate with other educators and curriculum specialists to design and update a dynamic math curriculum that aligns with the interests and needs of our young learners.

Create a Stimulating Learning Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where learners feel encouraged to explore, experiment, and ask questions. Utilize interactive teaching tools and resources to make math exciting and accessible for all.

Skill Enhancement: Demonstrate a willingness to learn and acquire new skills to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in mathematics and educational methodologies.

English Fluency: Proficiently communicate in English, both written and spoken, to effectively convey mathematical concepts and engage with students and their parents or guardians.

Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to students who may require additional help to grasp mathematical concepts or excel in their studies.

Student Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and track the progress of each student, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them achieve their academic goals.

Collaborative Approach: Work closely with other teachers and staff at Makerminds to integrate mathematics into interdisciplinary projects and workshops.

Safety and Discipline: Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment, ensuring students adhere to makerspace rules and guidelines.

**Requirements**:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. A teaching certification is a plus but not mandatory.

Experience: Prior experience teaching mathematics to students within the specified age group is beneficial but we also encourage freshers to apply.

Passion for Learning: Exhibit a strong passion for both mathematics and education, with a dedication to continuous personal and professional development.

Self-Motivated: Demonstrate the ability to work independently, take initiative, and be proactive in improving teaching practices and student engagement.

Communication: Excellent communication skills in English, enabling clear and effective interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.

Patience and Empathy: Possess patience and empathy in dealing with learners of varying abilities and backgrounds, supporting their unique learning journeys.

Creativity: Exhibit creativity in designing innovative approaches to make mathematics exciting and relevant for young learners.

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kochi, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
