**Job Purpose**:
1. To create amicable atmosphere by supporting & providing help to all HOD¿s for smooth manpower relation through proper industrial relations & welfare.
2. Recording and compiling attendance for staff and workmen, wage administration for workmen & Contract workers, welfare activities, 3.Contract labour administration through proper guidance & suggestions to contractors, preparation & submission of records for statutory compliances to meet the Unit¿s obligations as per Labour Legislations, Preparation of data to generate MIS on contract labour and manpower deployment.

Job Context:
UltraTech Cement Ltd. is the largest manufacturer of grey cement, Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) and white cement in India. It is also one of the leading cement producers globally. The company has a consolidated capacity of 132.45 Million Tones Per Annum (MTPA) of grey cement. UltraTech Cement has 23 integrated plants, 1 Clinkerization plant, 27 grinding units and 7 bulk terminals, post the Century merger. Its operations span across India, UAE, Bahrain, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
UltraTech, Rawan Cement plant started its Line 1 operation in early 90's with the capacity of 1 MTPA, commissioned in March, 1995 as Grasim Cement Unit. This was setup to capture the Eastern Cluster deficit market. In March'2013, Line 2 Clinkerization unit was commissioned along with clinker bulk loading facility, currently consolidated capacity of Rawan Cement is 6.5 MTPA. Rawan Cement Works also has Captive Thermal Power Plant with a total capacity of 55 MW, Waste Heat Recovery System with capacity of 20.4 MW and 10.8 MW Solar Power Plant. The plant has a state of art technology viz. Vertical Roller Mills from Loesch, Germany for grinding limestone and coal, Kiln and cooler from L&T/FLS, Denmark, Combi-Grinding Cement Mill with Roller Press from KHD, Germany, Finish Grinding Slag Grinding Roller Press from Krupp Polysius, Germany, Cross belt analyser from Gamma Metrics USA for on-line analysis of Limestone, X-Ray analyser, Cem Scanner from FLS, Denmark.

2) Redressal of grievances of workmen to their satisfaction.
3) Smooth reduction of Contract workers / Contractors

- KRA1- Industrial relations and welfare:
Implement decisions of Management pertaining to discipline and welfare of workmen and maintain good & close relations with workmen for proper feedback- ¿ Maintain harmonious relationship with union & statutory authorities.
¿ Identify impact of decision
¿ Giving proper feedback on labour activities to the Management.
¿ Ensure timely & quality canteen services.
¿ Participate in welfare activities
¿ Implementation of settlements
¿ Disciplinary actions, including absenteeism.
¿ Carry out inspection by labour authorities without adverse remarks.
¿ Prepare welfare budget
¿ Control welfare budget
¿ Arrange welfare items like uniform, birthday gifts, etc., in time- KRA2- Statutory compliances:
Coordinate & monitor all the activities required for fulfillment of statutory requirements- ¿ Preparation of checklist for statutory compliance under different legislation.
¿ Ensure timely submission of returns under all labour legislation including Govt. PF & trust.
¿ Maintenance of all register & records under all labour legislation applicable to establishment.
¿ Facilitate contractors for making statutory compliance.
¿ Periodically review for conformance of formalities
¿ Renewal of Group Insurance Policies
¿ Renewal of Factory Licence
¿ Renewal of Labour Licence
¿ Submission of Bonus / Annual Returns to Labour Authorities- KRA3- Contract Labour:
Management and control of contract labour as per laid down procedures to fulfill the requirement of Unit- ¿ Monitor deployment of contract labour & generate MIS on deployment.
¿ Entry / Exit system for contract labour.
¿ Implementation of various settlements of Contractors with the Union
¿ Implementation of prescribed Minimum Wages as per Chattisgarh Minimum Wages Act.
¿ Bonus / Ex-gratia payment to Packing plant / Gen.Contract Labour
