**Responsibilities**:
- **Clinical Care**:
- Diagnose and treat neurological conditions, including but not limited to, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, stroke, and migraines.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, neurological exams, and diagnostic testing.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and current medical best practices.
- Prescribe and manage medications, therapies, and other interventions to address neurological conditions.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including neurosurgeons, radiologists, physical therapists, and primary care physicians.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on neurological conditions, treatment options, and preventative care.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive patient records and documentation.
- **Research and Education**:
- Engage in clinical research to advance the understanding and treatment of neurological disorders.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in neurology through continuous education and professional development.
- Mentor and train medical students, residents, and fellows in neurology.
- **Administrative Duties**:
- Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols.
- Attend departmental and hospital-wide meetings as required.
**Requirements**:
- **Education and Certification**:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a residency in Neurology.
- Fellowship training in a specialized area of neurology is preferred.
- Board certification in Neurology.
- Valid state medical license.
- **Experience**:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing as a Neurologist.
- Proven expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of neurological conditions.
- **Skills and Competencies**:
- Strong diagnostic skills and clinical judgment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Research experience and a track record of scholarly activity is an advantage.
