We are seeking an experienced reporter in Mumbai to lead our coverage of billionaires in India, one of the fastest-growing areas of wealth in Asia.

Many wealthy Indian families have experienced a massive wealth boom in recent years, with ramifications both within India and across global markets and economies. you will have a drive to break new details about how these billionaires invest and deploy their fortunes while also consistently having an eye on the bigger picture and connecting the dots for Bloomberg's global audience.

You will be a part of a global team that maintains the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, a daily ranking of the world's richest 500 people. You are highly adept with data-driven stories, have a strong understanding of regulatory filings and accounting and will be responsible for updating information on India's tycoons for the index.

We are looking for someone who is a motivated self-starter, who can build and leverage connections within Bloomberg's bureaus in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore and beyond to tell the biggest and best stories across platforms, including Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg Markets magazines.

- Deliver insightful enterprise that connects the dots for readers
- Cultivate scoops under tight deadlines
- Work seamlessly and proactively with teams across regions and departments
- Build and update valuation models for India's richest people and families

**You'll need to have**:

- At least 5 years experience in financial journalism and a demonstrated record of insightful, well-written stories
- The ability to write quickly and accurately under deadline
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and valuation methodology
- An understanding of India's politics, economy and society
- Fluency in both spoken and written English
- Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
