1.Ensure that the content and objective of the Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Sustainability Policies (HSSE&S), Quality Policy and the Information Security policies are implemented and understood by all supervised staff.

2. Check the Designers work for accuracy, layout, quality, and completeness including a random soft check of the database.

3. Develop a backup to maintain the robustness of the drafting team.

4. Chair regular meetings with the Designers working on the project, produce brief notes of the meeting.

5. Generate project specific designer instructions.

6. Communicate with the counterpart / client instantly and effectively for resolution.

7. Liaise with the SPP&ID Administrator / Lead Designer for symbol requests and database changes as required.

8. Advise Chief Engineer for individual Designer training needs.

9. Analyse the observations of the audits through trend charts and prepare the plan of action to set the process to eliminate the most occurring observation.

10. To capture the changes in various project are monitored (ex. for the number of passes) and raise change flag.

11. Conduct Technical meeting and discuss about best practices, quality issues with the leads of the project engineering discipline.

12. Challenge the inconsistencies on mark-ups. Raise queries with respective project engineer / originator.

13. Collects lessons learnt details from various projects and share the information with the drafting team.

14. Audit the project designer’s deliverables.

15. Advise the Project Engineers / Process Engineers towards completion of drawing

1. Trade Certificate of Industrial Training Institute in Chemical / Draughtsman / Mechanical Draughtsman (Essential).

2. Diploma in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering (Desirable).

Experiance

1. A minimum of 17 years of experience in Engineering design environment with lead role in project execution (Essential).

2. Ability to lead large / medium teams in a multi-discipline task force-based engineering design environment (Essential).

3. Proven expertise in FEED and EPC Engineering design in Project execution.

4. Proven expertise in software’s such as SPPID, AVEVA P&ID, AutoCAD and MicroStation.
