We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of **Internal Auditor - Analytics**

**Department Overview**:
The primary role of Global Internal Audit (GIA) is to help the Board and Executive Management to protect the assets, reputation and sustainability of the HSBC Group. GIA provides independent and objective assurance over the design and operating effectiveness of the Group’s framework of risk management, control and governance processes. GIA possesses specialized capabilities and skills through its versatile, inquisitive, and diverse team of global professionals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Keen willingness to continually develop technical data analytics and process mining skills
- Seek new and innovative ways to automate or digitalise audit work
- Develop their knowledge of data sources, structures, meta-data, etc. existing in select Lines of Business or Functions and regions for possible use by the Audit teams;
- Design, build, and deliver data analytics, process mining and other digital solutions to meet the needs of Audit
- Follow an agile, iterative, adaptive approach during the development/delivery of audit technology solutions to meet the timely needs of Audit and add the most value
- Effectively discuss potentially challenging matters and ability to communicate with impact and articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
- Use insights, industry knowledge and current developments to assess areas of concern

Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in science, technology, engineering and mathematics/statistics
- 6+ years relevant work experience in the Financial Services Sector, consultancy, and external audit will be considered, but is not essential.
- Knowledge or experience with some or all of the following: python, SQL, SAS, Qlik, Celonis, KNIME and other analytics tools and languages.
- Relevant accounting, data analytics, programming, quantitative, technology skills, qualifications or certifications.
- Fluency in English
