**Job Summary**
- This role is within the Business Performance Operations (BPO) finance function that supports the Wealth & Retail Banking (WRB) business. WRB has a footprint across the globe with an annual revenue of >USD 7bn and serves more than 11 million clients in some of the world’s fastest growing markets. The BPO finance team supports CFOs, providing financial insights on performance and tracking progress of strategic initiatives.- The AVP - WRB FP&A is a key leadership role within BPO. The role works very closely partners with Business Heads on Performance Management.- Broad areas covered within this role include:

- Functional Owner for the country on FP&A deliverables
- Deliver relevant, consistent, timely management information together with the right analytical insights to assist the business in their decision making as well as understanding financial performance & outlook.
- Driving critical finance processes for the country such as planning (budgeting & corporate plan), and forecasting.
- Support successful delivery of performance analysis and presentations for the country, including monthly, half-year/full-year reviews, as well as external events e.g., investor meetings & annual reports.
- Support BPO Lead in developing & delivering digital reporting end state, partnering with the broader BPO & change community to leverage existing toolsets & expertise such as data transformation, visualisation, and predicative modelling.
- Drive implementation of Bank’s strategic initiatives, shaping the future design of processes and the requirements for the new technology.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in leading high-performing teams

- Build and execute strategic actions in collaboration with all Stakeholders in driving the business performance and aligned to the Bank’s Strategic Priorities

**Business**
Being a effective Finance Business Partner, responsible to provide:

- Standard Performance MI with insights on current performance
- Analytics Deep dive on Business Performance to drive consistent and sustainable above and beyond business performance.
- Partnership with Business and the CFO teams to drive and manage Country Performance via agreed metrices.

**Processes**
Being a Functional owner of the FP&A process, responsible for:

- Implement industry best practices on Performance Management, Forecasting and Business Analytics
- Drive continuous process improvement which drives efficiency and better control in all the FP&A activities
- Collaborate with other Business Performance leads to ensure standard and consistent MI is delivered to business across WRB

**People & Talent**
- To lead, inspire and motivate the teams ensuring that everyone achieves their potential and that the team delivers its collective agenda
- Enhance overall culture of the organisation, with improved My Voice scores, through targeted actions
- Build and execute a People Engagement strategy that encompasses timely & relevant updates as well as social engagement to improve overall employee well being
- Employ, engage, and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
- Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
- Set SMART objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives

**Skills and Experience**

**Risk Management**
- Operate 1st line responsibilities of process owners as outlined under Operational Risk Framework (ORF) and associated policies and procedures
- Act to minimize operational loss and audit failures and take proactive measures to respond to matters arising and identify and manage forward looking risks.
- Through assignment of direct and indirect reports, establish and maintain an appropriate framework and procedures for monitoring, identifying, measuring, assessing, reporting, and managing compliance, regulatory, financial crime, operational and reputational risks

**Governance**
- Build and review Governance framework around Standard MI, internal controls, adherence to policy to adherence to agreed risk appetite.

**Regulatory & Business Conduct**
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Lead the WRB Country FP&A BPO team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
