**Responsibilities**:
1. Medical Care: Diagnosing and treating various conditions related to the female reproductive system, including menstrual disorders, fertility issues, sexually transmitted infections, and gynecological cancers.

2. Prenatal Care: Providing comprehensive care to pregnant women, including monitoring the health of both the mother and the developing fetus, conducting ultrasounds, and offering advice on nutrition and lifestyle.

3. Family Planning: Offering guidance on birth control options, family planning, and fertility treatments.

4. Gynecological Surgeries:Performing surgeries such as hysterectomy, laparoscopic procedures, and other surgical interventions for conditions like fibroids, endometriosis, and ovarian cysts.

5. Screening and Prevention:Conducting regular screenings for conditions like cervical cancer and breast cancer. Administering Pap smears, mammograms, and other tests to detect abnormalities early.

6. Menopause Management: Helping women navigate the physical and hormonal changes that occur during menopause and providing appropriate treatments.

8. Collaboration: Collaborating with other medical specialists, such as obstetricians, oncologists, and endocrinologists, to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex medical needs.

**Qualifications**:
1. Bachelor's Degree:

- Graduation in Medicine (MBBS): After completing 12 years of schooling, aspiring gynecologists need to enroll in a medical college to obtain a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. This typically takes around five and a half years, including a one-year internship.

2. Postgraduate Degree:

- Master's in Obstetrics and Gynecology (MS/MD/DNB): After completing the MBBS degree, individuals interested in becoming gynecologists need to pursue a postgraduate specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology. This can be done through a Master of Surgery (MS) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree program, or by obtaining a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) qualification. This postgraduate degree program generally takes three years to complete.

3. Internship and Residency:

- During the postgraduate specialization, gynecology residents gain hands-on experience by working in hospitals, clinics, and other medical settings. This period involves practical training in various aspects of gynecology, including surgeries, patient care, and diagnostics.

4. Licensing and Registration:

- After completing the postgraduate degree and internship, individuals must obtain a medical license to practice as a gynecologist. This typically involves passing the relevant medical licensing examination conducted by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the State Medical Council.

5. If Possible Optional Fellowship and Specializations:

- Gynecologists can choose to pursue further specialization through fellowship programs in areas such as reproductive medicine, gynecologic oncology, maternal-fetal medicine, and more. These fellowships provide additional training and expertise in specific subfields of gynecology.

**Salary**: ₹200,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
