**Job Description**:

- Strategic Business Partner Role - Co-creates fundraising strategy with CEO/COO. - Identifies and connects with investors, pitches investment opportunities, manages due diligence, and negotiates term sheet and shareholders agreements. - Anchors equity and debt fundraises, manages business plan creation, due diligence, legal documentation, and shareholders agreement compliance. - Formulates and designs annual operating plans, tracking actual vs. planned and driver-based variance. - Drives end-to-end business strategy, investor relations, and cross-functional initiatives. - Enhances and implements financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems. - Provides financial leadership and input into key operational and strategic projects. - Oversees company’s fiscal activity, reporting, and auditing. - Assesses and evaluates financial performance. - Establishes yearly financial objectives aligning with company’s growth and expansion plan. - Oversees preparation and timely filing of all tax returns. - Highlights red flags and risks, and helps mitigate them. - Develops and builds an effective, motivated, and engaged team for succession planning.
- Fin-Ops and Financial Planning Expertise - Ability to create, implement, and govern business plans. - Experience in fund-raising and working with PE/VC community. - Strong leadership and management skills. Competencies: - Minimum 20+ years of relevant field experience. - Strong pedigree: top tier university graduate, Chartered Accountant, or MBA (Finance). - High energy, ability to navigate ambiguous situations. - Willingness to roll-up sleeves and get things done. - Ability to influence peers and colleagues without explicit authority.
