About the Organization

Vertiver is a behaviour lab specialising in connecting exploratory research with behaviour change communications for

climate action and natural resource conservation. With a team of scientists, sociologists, designers, writers,

performers, and filmmakers,we create solutions that are multi-disciplinary, vernacular, and context-appropriate.

About the Role

We are seeking a Research Associate with a unique blend of skills in sociology, social work, anthropology, or literature, combined

with a profound interest and preferably some experience in climate change or environmental-related projects. This position will

possess a strong academic background, exceptional writing skills, and a passion for addressing environmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Research and Analysis:
○ Conduct in-depth research on topics related to climate change, environmental sustainability, and social impacts.

○ Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to derive insights into environmental issues and their societal

implications.

○ Stay updated on the latest developments, policies, and trends in the field of environmental studies.
- Content Creation:
○ Write compelling and informative articles, reports, and other written materials on environmental topics for

various audiences.

○ Collaborate with team members to develop content strategies and ensure the accuracy and relevance of

content.

○ Adapt writing style and tone to suit different formats, such as research papers, blog posts, and educational

materials.
- Project Management:
○ Assist in planning and executing research projects related to climate change and environmental sustainability.

○ Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to gather necessary resources and information for

research initiatives.

○ Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Communication and Collaboration:
○ Communicate research findings effectively through presentations, reports, and other mediums to internal teams

and external stakeholders.

○ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientists, policymakers, and community members, to

integrate diverse perspectives into research efforts.

○ Participate in meetings, workshops, and conferences to exchange ideas and contribute to the advancement of

environmental knowledge.

Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in sociology, social work, anthropology, literature, or a related field
- Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of climate change, environmental science, or sustainability issues.
- Strong research skills, including the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content for different audiences in Punjabi
- Prior experience in writing or research, particularly in the context of environmental studies, is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and research tools/software.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- 1-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of creating engaging content.
- Proficiency in SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and content management systems.
- Passion for sustainability, environmental conservation, or social issues is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, combining remote work with occasional office presence in Baroda.

**Salary**: ₹20,501.71 - ₹51,109.56 per month
