Kitchen Trainee

We are searching for an organised, energetic kitchen staff to join our team. Kitchen Staff are responsible for storing ingredients and assisting with food preparation. You should also ensure that the kitchen and storage areas remain clean at all times.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Cleaning all dishes, work stations, cooking equipment, and food storage areas in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Washing, chopping, shredding, and grating ingredients for subsequent use by the chef.
- Assisting with the unloading of deliveries.
- Storing ingredients according to prescribed food safety regulations.
- Assisting with the monitoring of inventory.
- Reporting all damaged or faulty equipment to the kitchen manager.
- Packaging customers' leftover food upon request.
- Preparing meals as ordered;
- Responsible for the preparation of all food items ensuring a high standard of taste, temperature and preparation;
- Assists in the preparation of several parts of a major meal by mixing and stirring, ladling, adjusting heat, etc.;
- Prepares breakfasts on an independent basis by cooking eggs and meat, and preparing cereals, coffee and similar items;
- Assists with another station as assigned by the Chef;
- Collects store items as required from the main kitchen;
- Cleans and maintains kitchen equipment and reports any repair or maintenance needed

**Skills Required**:

- Strong communication abilities.
- Having a firm understanding of the products or services the business provides.
- Fluency in English and Tamil preferred.
- Open-minded, willing to learn new things.

**Qualification Required**:

- High school diploma or any other degree that is equivalent to the position

**Experience Preferred**:

- 1-2 years of Experience equivalent to the position.

**Salary**: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Fixed shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Yearly bonus
