ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A COUNSELLOR

Attributes of a Counselor
- The Admission counselor should be a graduate with good communication skills in English and the

regional language.
- She is the first person parents meet when they come to a EuroKids school. She should be formally

dressed and presentable.
- She should be empathetic, courteous and have a professional approach while interacting with the

enquiries.
- She should be aware of the product and present it in a proper sequence using simple language.
- Being alert and proactive is essential for a counselor.

Roles and responsibilities of a counselor
- The counselor is responsible for the front office wherein she counsels prospective parents and

maintains all the records related to enquiry.
- She should report to the school 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the first batch.
- She should be familiar with all the policies related to fee structure and admissions etc. and

implement them.
- The counselor should be aware of the Happiness kit components and explain it to the parents.
- She should give a patient listening to parents.
- She should ensure that all the essentials of the waiting area should be well placed and the displays

should be attractive and relevant.
- She should be responsible for the fee collection and preparation of reports pertaining

toinquiries and fee payments.

Roles and Responsibilities Post counseling
- Entering the details in EPMS
- Instant acknowledgement and auto generated messages are sent to parents for a few days
- EPMS entries save the counselor from additional paper work and also helps in

understanding conversion rate
- Making a note of first follow-up date
- Recording the response and action plan
- Filing the admission forms
- Convey all communications related to POP to the enquiries well in time.
- Inviting enquiries for grand celebrations like Annual Day and Sports Day etc.

Prerequisites of counseling
- Reception and waiting area should be well organized with relevant information and right kind of

displays.
- Work Station
- reception desk should be clutter free, all the collaterals like brochures, pamphlets and

admission forms should be handy.

While Handling Telephonic Enquiries
- The counselor should answer the telephone within two rings & greet the caller.
- She should excuse herself to take the call if in the middle of a walk-in counseling.
- She should respond well to the queries and fill up the complete details of the caller in the enquiry

record book.
- She should thank the caller for calling and invite him/ her over to the school.
- She should end the call positively and let the caller hang up first.

While Handling Walk-in Enquiries

Stage I: Meet & Greet
- Greet and make the parent comfortable.
- Listen to his/her queries and respond appropriately explaining about EuroKids preschools.
- Make a note of the child and parents details in the enquiry form.
- File the physical copy of enquiry form.

Stage ll: Tour of the school
- Start with the Reception Area, Wash Rooms, Fun Rooms, Pantry, Library, Outdoor Area etc.
- Talk about the safe environment, Fire Extinguishers, CCTV cameras, displays, group activities, usage

of puppet theatres, sand & water play areas.
- Talk about the outdoor and indoor equipment and other offerings.
- Talk about the Key Differentiators of EuroKids

Stage Ill: Share Information
- Counselling Tool
- Doctor on call, Safe school certified, and First aid Box.
- Talk about in-house training for teachers & support staff.
- Field trips.

Stage lV & V: Share Fee Details & Closure
- Show the approved fee structure along with the bifurcation.
- Ensure that the parent buys the admission form.
- Explain the payment terms & conditions.
- End the conversation with a thank you and visit again note.

While Handling Online Enquiry
- Conduct a telephonic enquiry
- Invite the parent for a Video conferencing session.
- Follow the process of Walk in enquiry handling.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Yearly bonus

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)
