Job Title: Cook/Kitchen Head
**Job Description**:
Position Overview: The Cook/Kitchen Head is a key member of the culinary team responsible for overseeing the kitchen's day-to-day operations, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the preparation of high-quality meals. This position requires a combination of culinary expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Menu Planning and Development**:
- Collaborate with management to plan and develop menus that meet customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and budgetary constraints.
- Stay updated on food trends and industry developments to enhance the menu offerings.
- **Food Preparation and Cooking**:
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure that portion sizes and food quality consistently meet the expectations of customers.
- **Staff Management**:
- Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
- Schedule kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and special events.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve the skills and efficiency of the team.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and restocking of ingredients and supplies.
- Implement cost-effective measures to minimize waste and control food costs.
- **Adherence to Health and Safety Standards**:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- **Menu Costing and Budgeting**:
- Work with management to establish and monitor budgetary constraints for the kitchen.
- Calculate menu costs and adjust pricing as needed to maintain profitability.
- **Collaboration with Other Departments**:
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to secure high-quality ingredients at competitive prices.
- **Quality Control**:
- Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.
- Address customer feedback and make adjustments to enhance customer satisfaction.
- **Creativity and Innovation**:
- Encourage and foster creativity among kitchen staff to develop new and innovative dishes.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and enhancement of the culinary offerings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in a commercial kitchen.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Creativity and passion for the culinary arts.

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
