OGS Learning Transformation team is responsible for various transformative projects in partnership with the training delivery team. The Instructional Designer will embrace this exciting opportunity to lead change to the way in which we promote learning. He or she will help define new standards and strategies to promote learning using current technologies to increase a self-paced environment. You'll be required to correct spelling, grammar, and layout (proofreading), check content, use consistent styles and reword or rewrite (copy-editing). You will also consult with training and business partners on the design, development, execution, and measurement of learning programs to support our internal operations business partners. The ID will be responsible for designing interactive instructor-led and online learning programs while ensuring high-quality, innovative, and effective learning programs. The ID keeps abreast of various design strategies, with emphasis in Online Learning, both synchronous and asynchronous.

Positions in this function are responsible for conducting documentation needs, analysis for the improving business processes, training needs analysis for the business, developing all training materials, communications and activities to meet the organization's job/role requirements. Involves conducting ongoing evaluations and assessments to ensure effectiveness of programs and recommending/ implementing modifications as necessary. May work with SMEs to obtain training content. May include design and development of online and web-based training materials

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Engage/collaborate with appropriate stakeholders and SMEs to identify business needs, performance goals and gaps
- Demonstrate understanding of our business (organization structures, business strategies, goals and objectives, global businesses)
- Conduct task analysis/research to identify the specific knowledge, skills, behaviors needed to achieve desired performance levels (e.g., focus groups, observation)
- Gather and/or document information on stakeholders’ business requirements, specifications, and/or needs (e.g., conduct intake process, ask questions, review project charter, monitor regulations, review reports)
- Develop appropriate learning activities based on training designs and learning objectives
- Identify measurement approaches and mechanisms to evaluate success of the solution
- Conduct current state analysis to gather current business, functional and non-functional requirements and constraints (i.e., "as-is “state)
- Document future state using appropriate tools/processes (e.g., "to-be" process maps)
- Gather information needed for the definition of requirements (e.g., business use cases, user stories)
- Ensure obtained data and information are accurate and relevant to meet end users’ needs
- Identify and communicate appropriate solutions needed to address identified business issues and needs (e.g., training, coaching, policy changes, system changes, process/procedure changes, compliance issues, documentation issues, incentive issues, leadership issues, organization structure)
- Communicate any identified defects with relevant stakeholders (e.g., project managers, business partners, IT) and/or facilitate appropriate adjustments
- Develop learning objectives based on appropriate analyses (e.g., business analysis, task analysis, audience analysis)
- Summarize and communicate proposed solutions with the appropriate audiences in a manner tailored to their understanding, level or experience
- Adhere to applicable internal and external communication standards established for the business (e.g., internal style guides, communication industry standards, company branding)
- Obtain stakeholder and SME approval/sign-off of documentation materials (following review cycles) and make needed revisions based on stakeholder feedback
- Publish, test, and upload files to the appropriate locations (knowledge library, SharePoint)
- Respond to on-going feedback from trainers and make appropriate adjustments to documentation deliverables
- Identify and incorporate needed changes to knowledge management solutions (e.g., processes, procedures, materials, techniques, curricula) based on measurement/evaluation results
