**Key Responsibilities**:
**Research and Analysis**: Conduct thorough research to identify existing patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other relevant intellectual property. Analyze the competitive landscape to assess potential risks and opportunities.
**Portfolio Management**: Maintain an organized database of intellectual property assets, including renewal dates, maintenance fees, and other crucial information. Manage the administrative aspects of the portfolio.
**Infringement Monitoring**: Regularly monitor the market for potential infringements of intellectual property rights. Investigate and assess the severity of any violations and recommend appropriate actions.
**Licensing and Agreements**: Negotiate and draft licensing agreements, partnerships, and collaborations related to intellectual property. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and protect the interests of the company or individual.
**Enforcement**: Work closely with legal teams to initiate legal action against unauthorized use or infringement of intellectual property. Assist in litigation or dispute resolution when necessary.
**Education and Training**: Provide training and guidance to internal teams on intellectual property policies, best practices, and strategies for protection. Raise awareness about the importance of intellectual property rights across the organization.
**Due Diligence**: Perform intellectual property due diligence during mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions to assess risks and opportunities related to intellectual property assets.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Intellectual Property, or related field. Master's degree or additional certifications are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of intellectual property laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in using intellectual property databases and software.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Legal background or experience working with legal teams is preferred.
- Familiarity with international intellectual property regulations is advantageous.
