Role Overview:
As a STEM Trainer at REAP, you will play a crucial role in inspiring and educating students in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). You will develop and deliver engaging lessons, conduct hands-on activities, collaborate with teachers, assess student progress, and contribute to the development of STEM education materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
Develop and deliver comprehensive STEM lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
Create hands-on activities, experiments, and projects to promote experiential learning.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with school teachers to integrate STEM concepts into existing curricula.
Provide guidance and support to teachers in implementing STEM activities in classrooms.
Student Engagement:
Engage students in interactive learning experiences that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Assess student understanding through observations, assessments, and feedback mechanisms.
Resource Development:
Contribute to the development of STEM education materials, including lesson plans, worksheets, and multimedia resources.
Stay updated with advancements in STEM education and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies.
Environmental Focus:
Integrate environmental sustainability themes into STEM lessons and activities.
Promote awareness of environmental issues and encourage eco-friendly practices among students.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field (Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.); Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in STEM education or training, preferably in a school or educational institution.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Organizational skills and the ability to plan and execute engaging STEM activities.
