Responsibilities:
- **Operations Management**:
- Oversee the overall functioning of the cafe, including food preparation, serving, and cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- **Customer Service**:
- Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve any customer complaints or issues effectively.
- Create a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for customers.
- **Staff Management**:
- Recruit, train, and supervise cafe staff to ensure efficient operation and exceptional service.
- Schedule staff shifts and manage payroll.
- **Inventory and Supplies Management**:
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
- Oversee stock control and manage inventory rotation.
- **Financial Management**:
- Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate reporting of sales.
- Track expenses and maintain financial records.
- **Menu Planning and Development**:
- Collaborate with the chef to develop and update the cafe menu based on customer preferences and seasonal offerings.
- Monitor food quality and presentation.
- **Promotions and Marketing**:
- Implement promotional activities to increase customer engagement and drive sales.
- Support marketing efforts to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of cafe operations.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
