Job Description: Die Polishing Technician (Sheet Metal & Forging Dies, PVD Industry)

Location: Ecotech III, Greater Noida

Experience: 1-3 years

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Die Polishing for Sheet Metal and Forging Dies:
Perform precision polishing of sheet metal and forging dies to ensure optimal surface quality.

Use manual and mechanical polishing tools for removing imperfections, scratches, and machining marks.

2. Die Maintenance:
Inspect dies for wear and damage before and after polishing.

Repair and restore dies to meet required tolerances and specifications.

3. PVD Coating Preparation:
Prepare dies for Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating by cleaning and ensuring proper surface readiness.

Collaborate with the PVD team to achieve high-quality coating results.

4. Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough inspections of die surfaces using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Identify and resolve surface defects to enhance die performance.

5. Tool and Equipment Handling:
Maintain polishing tools and machinery in excellent condition.

Perform routine checks and calibration of equipment as needed.

6. Documentation and Reporting:
Record polishing activities, including time taken and materials used.

Provide regular updates to supervisors or managers.

7. Safety and Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ensure a clean and organized workspace to minimize risks.

Skills and Qualifications:
**Experience**:
1-3 years in die polishing, with experience in sheet metal and forging dies preferred.

Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with die polishing tools, techniques, and PVD processes.

Understanding of sheet metal and forging die designs and specifications.

Attention to Detail:
Precision-oriented with the ability to meet tight tolerances.

Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to identify and rectify defects in dies effectively.
