Quality and Compliance Associate

**About the role**

The core function of the Quality and Compliance Associate will be to support our Quality and Compliance team with driving consistent change management, risk management, accreditation and regulatory compliance, and quality improvement across the organization. They will work while conducting tasks involving committees, accreditations, and audits. They will have expert writing skills when creating and updating important compliance documents.This is a new function on the team and as such, we’re looking for an individual who enjoys the unique challenges of an early-stage start-up and is open to evolving this role in collaboration with leadership and the team. This is a fully remote position.

**What** you’ll do**
- Manage agendas, prepare presentation materials, manage meeting invites, and take precise meeting minutes for committee/subcommittee meetings.
- Triage, document, and track market feedback, including trends and QIA progress.
- Quality Improvement Activities (QIA)
- Complaints
- Corrective Action Plans (CAP)
- Performance Improvement Plans (PIP)
- Other sanctions
- Assist in processing and promptly resolving complaints with strict regulatory oversight.
- Assist with enterprise risk management, change management, and cyber security needs.
- Assist in drafting and organizing enterprise complaint training materials and any other training materials.
- Draft, edit, and proofread internal and external documents (e.g., reports, materials).
- Monitor employee/contractor signature compliance with data security and privacy policies and procedures and other types of compliance monitoring.
- Assist with quality work plans, program descriptions, and published works.
- Assist with accreditation standards, legislative, and/or regulatory research.
- Assist with accurate managing, filing, and bookmarking important documentation (e.g., meeting minutes) for quarterly, annual, and biannual accreditations and audits.
- Quarterly audits and reports
- Ad hoc and annual P&P reviews and approvals
- NCQA CVO certification (with ongoing evidence each year)
- URAC CVO certification (with ongoing evidence each year)
- SOC 2 Type II Audit (2023) and annual certifications
- Support other projects (e.g., system testing or mock audits), as needed.

**W**hat you’ll need**
- Experience in the U.S. healthcare industry, credentialing, licensing, and/or payor enrollment
- At least 2 years in quality improvement - process improvement, performance improvement, change management, and/or risk management
- Experience working with NCQA, URAC, JCAHO, or any equivalent accrediting bodies
- Type fast and accurately during meetings while taking meeting minutes
- The ability to meet important deadlines and work under pressure
- Excellent written verbal communication and grammar
- The ability to conduct large volumes of research quickly
- Technically savvy with a desire to protect cybersecurity
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Be a strong multitasker
- Pass a written test

**A Plus**
- A bachelor’s degree
- At least 1 year in writing - policy, procedural, requirements, and committee minutes and reports
- At least 1 year in U.S. legislative/regulatory compliance and/or cybersecurity
