**Job Description**:
Key Responsibilities
Lead the migration of Teradata onpremises systems to Teradata Vantage in the cloud
Design implement and manage Teradata databases in the cloud environment
Optimize database performance and ensure high availability and reliability
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues errors and performance bottlenecks
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration and data consistency
Develop and implement best practices for database management backup and recovery
Monitor database health performance and security
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior DBAs and other team members
Stay updated with the latest Teradata technologies tools and best practices

Required Expertise
Experience Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Teradata DBA with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role
Migration Experience Proven experience in migrating Teradata onpremises systems to Teradata Vantage in the cloud
Cloud Expertise Strong knowledge of cloud platforms AWS Azure or Google Cloud and experience with Teradata Vantage in the cloud
Database Management Indepth understanding of Teradata architecture database design and performance tuning
Backup and Restore Expertise in Backup and Restore using Teradata Data Stream Architecture DSA
Performance Tuning Expertise with TASM Teradata Active System Management
Troubleshooting Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues
Scripting Proficiency in scripting languages eg BTEQ SQL Shell Python for automation and database management
Security Knowledge of database security best practices and experience implementing security measures
Communication Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams
Certifications Teradata certification is a plus

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
Experience with data migration tools and methodologies
Knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements
