Metallurgist

Sohm Analytical Services India Pvt. Ltd. is a Metal testing laboratory located at 4 places in Maharashtra, Thane, Rabale, Taloja, Kolhapur. We are looking for metallurgist at Shiroli MIDC, Kolhapur branch. Our lab is equipped with adequate facilities to carry out various tests and services of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals. We provide prompt, precise, and impartial services to all our customers alike, with the highest quality service and client confidentiality.

**Role Description**

This is a full-time on-site role for a Metallurgist at Sohm Analytical Services India Pvt. Ltd. located in Navi Mumbai. The Senior Metallurgist will be responsible for process control, metallurgy and extractive metallurgy. They will also be responsible for managing project timelines, conducting research, analyzing data, and collaborating with other departments.

Responsible for Metallography and Corrosion testing, and coordination with Inspection agencies and customers.
- Responsible for implementing and managing quality systems as per ISO/IEC 17025:17
- Ensure that daily testing targets are met
- Responsible for handling the manpower requirement of the metallography and corrosion department
- Maintain daily test reports to know the status of pending work and report the same to the reporting department
- Coordinate with the third-party inspector (TPI)/ customer for the witness testing
- Responsible for developing new customer for business
- Take responsibility for health and safety issues of staff
- Discuss different solutions to problems with the technical team of other departments for quick and quality service
- Research and develop tests for new product development
- Responsible for doing retest/ replica test based on plan

**Qualifications**
- Strong knowledge of Process Control, Metallurgy, and Extractive Metallurgy
- Experience in testing microstructure, inclusion rating and case depth analysis.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with other departments
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy or related field
- Master's degree in Metallurgy or related field is a plus
- Experience in the metals industry is preferred
- Knowledge of industry specifications and standards including IS, ASTM, PED, and DIN, etc.
- Good command over corrosion testing like IGC, G-28, G-48, etc

**Salary**: From ₹30,000.00 per month
