**Description**
- Conduct thorough medical evaluations and consultations to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), liver diseases, pancreatic disorders, and gastrointestinal cancers.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' medical history, symptoms, diagnostic tests, and imaging studies, incorporating evidence-based guidelines and best practices.
- Prescribe medications, dietary modifications, and lifestyle interventions to manage gastrointestinal conditions and symptoms, and monitor patient response to treatment.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper endoscopy (esophagogastroduodenoscopy, EGD), colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and capsule endoscopy.
- Interpret endoscopic findings, biopsy results, and imaging studies to diagnose gastrointestinal diseases and guide treatment decisions.
- Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal conditions, treatment options, preventive measures, and lifestyle modifications to promote health and well-being.
- Provide guidance on medication adherence, dietary management, smoking cessation, alcohol moderation, and other aspects of disease management and health promotion.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and nutritionists, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions.
