**BACKGROUND**

Saraswati Seva Foundation (SSF) is a non-profit organization committed to serve the under privileged communities using knowledge tools. Our effort is to work towards building technology driven and scalable solutions for specific social needs which are environmentally sustainable and commercially viable. The issues on our agenda are manifold and diverse as are the engagements we offer. Among our ranks you will find staff members who monitor programs, infuse resilience in a model, coordinate in educational and skilling programs and provide administrative as well as logístical support to carry out our mandates. These are just a few examples amongst our many other equally critical and necessary functions.

**PURPOSE OF THE POST**

SSF is seeking a Social media executiveto carry out actions in the Communications unit and will be responsible for developing messages, curating content and branding/marketing products/services to effectively convey SSF’s mission and impact to multiple audiences. It builds support for SSF’s leadership, programs and activities through strategic communications efforts on multiple platforms.

**Key Responsibilities/Outcomes (include but are not limited to)**:

- Support the development and implementation of a multi-faceted communications plan, which include message development, web presence and social media to educate, motivate, and influence target audiences.
- Assist in cultivating and maintaining relationships with national, state, and local journalists who cover issues related to education, skilling and other fields along SSF’s thematic areas.
- Identify opportunities for communications engagement, and provide front-line support in drafting content, including talking points, press releases, op-eds, blog posts, factsheets, and digital content like social media.

**C MARKETING/PR, SOCIAL MEDIA (primary)**
- Develop and **follow annual editorial and communications calendar of events** and social media schedule to ensure that events, news, and programmatic updates are optimally posted.
- Develop and **update brochures, annual reports, case studies, impact briefs** & other collaterals as needed.
- Write, edit and proofread **newsletters**.
- Create and implement **a social media marketing strategy** that includes all major social media platforms as appropriate. Grow number of social media followers and engagement via creative, entertaining, compelling and informative posts.
- Draft all media communications, and coordinate media outreach tracking all garnered media coverage (**articles, blog posts etc**.)
- **Creating wireframes for website/content for website (UX writing)/ website refresh/update**.
- Coordinate photography for/of events, activities, etc. for use in publications, media, etc. and ensure appropriate releases are signed and filed; maintain graphic and photo files.
- Support department with execution of other key projects and strategies including all event-planning activities.

**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES**:
We are looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas and perspectives, through their work or lived experiences, to help frame new narratives and write stories that can inspire action.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, business or non-profit management preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing, content writing, web design and social media management.
- Expertise in social media platforms (Meta, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to distill key points from large amounts of information, tailor presentations to different audiences, and able to communicate processes with colleagues
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM and other digital marketing techniques.

**Salary**: ₹9,295.99 - ₹36,348.58 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Social media marketing: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Digital marketing (preferred)
