Housekeeping Assistant

**Job Summary**

The Housekeeping Assistant is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and orderliness in various areas of a facility, such as hotels, hospitals, office buildings, or residential complexes. They work under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager and perform a variety of tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for guests, patients, or residents.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Perform routine cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and polishing surfaces to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Ensure proper sanitization of all surfaces, including bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.

2. Prepare rooms for occupancy by ensuring they are clean, well-stocked, and presentable. This includes making beds, replacing linens, restocking amenities, and arranging furniture in an orderly manner.

3. Properly dispose of waste and recyclable materials according to established procedures. Empty trash cans and recycling bins regularly, and ensure proper segregation of waste to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.

4. Monitor and restock housekeeping supplies, such as cleaning products, toiletries, and linens, to ensure an adequate supply is available at all times. Notify supervisors of any low stock levels or equipment malfunctions.

5. Keep accurate records of daily tasks, including cleaning activities, supply usage, and maintenance requests. Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel for prompt resolution.

6. Interact professionally and courteously with guests, addressing any concerns or requests promptly and effectively. Maintain a positive and helpful attitude while representing the facility.

7. Adhere to established safety and security protocols to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and guests. Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and report any safety hazards immediately.

8. Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient operations. Assist colleagues with their duties when necessary and contribute to a positive team environment.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and cleaning agents.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Regular / Permanent, Fresher
Part-time hours: 60 per week

**Salary**: ₹8,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
