Roles & Responsibilities:
**Work Description**
- Typical datasets include large panels of banks and firms (public and private) obtained through already-curated machine-readable datasets (e.g., COMPUSTAT, CRSP, Refintiv/LSEG, and S&P CAPIQ), as well as data collected through web-scraping (e.g., corporate filings available on the SEC EDGAR platform).
- The research associate will be exposed to creating and handling big data sets, working extensively in statistical software/programming languages (such as Stata, R, and Python), and learning state-of-the-art research design methodologies (e.g., panel data regressions with fixed effects).

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in Economics/Finance/Statistics/Econometrics/Mathematics/Physics or engineering (electrical, signal processing, computer science),or 4-year bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Physics/Economics from a premier institute.
- Strong background in Mathematics.
- Knowledge of writing API queries/Web-Scraping algorithms, Machine Learning/AI, or textual analysis is an added advantage.
