**Roles and Responsibility**
- We are seeking a highly motivated Scrum Master to be part of the Trade Surveillance Technology team. The individually should be highly experienced in Agile delivery and delivering/integrating vendor platforms. This role should be able to manage agile squads, leading their squads’ delivery and being able to coordinate with other squads.

**Scrum Master responsibilities include**:

- Ensuring Agile principles and values are understood and enacted by ensuring that the Squad/Team adheres to Scrum theory, practices, and rules
- Acting as a servant-leader for the Squad
- Ensuring interactions within the squad maximize the value created
- and helping the squad remove issues and ensures that the squad is “doing the things right” and plans their work accordingly
- Ensuring motivation and synergy in the squad
- Tracking work progress to identify blockages and developer divergence from allocated tasks

**Business knowledge**
- Strong domain knowledge in Market Abuse Regulations, Financial Market Products, Trade and Communication Surveillance Process knowledge.

**Skills (Experienced desired)**:

- Strong data and project management skills
- Prior experience in Financial Institutions, preferably in Compliance tech space
- Surveillance and / or Conflict Management experience is a certain plus
- An understanding of the scrum framework (roles, artifacts, and rituals), specifically an understanding of the scrum master role and underlying values of scrum and agile principles is required for this position.
- Experience working directly with development teams under the scrum framework preferred with at least a full year of experience within the role of scrum master.
- Ability to understand and mentor product owners in the understanding and improvement of their role as needed and assist with story gathering workshops and guidance if requested.
- Broad understanding of product planning concepts including personas, mínimal viable and mínimal marketable product, product visioning and release roadmaps
- Experience managing scrum artifacts (burn-down charts, product backlogs, user stories in JIRA/ADO)
- Experience with planning poker or relative sizing estimation techniques.
- Experience facilitating retrospective meetings geared towards skills improvement

**Soft Skills**:

- Highly organized and a self-starting individual
- Direct experience facilitating team level meetings
- Strong stakeholder management skills. Ability to explain with clear rationale for yes/no responses along with options for stakeholder requests - this is a must
- Ability to perform as a mentor/guide/coach to the squad
- Ability to accept and resolve team indicated impediments to delivery and work within the organization to remove these impediments efficiently.
- Ability to work directly with unit management to participate in strategic development and growth plans for teams and organization in terms of scrum acceptance and maturity as well as opportunities for team growth.
- Ability to coach team members to better understand the scrum framework and underlying concepts of agility
- Ability to coach teams toward self-management and self-organization.
- Ability to guide teams towards continual improvement through routine team inspection during retrospectives
- Ability to assess development opportunities for team members for the purpose of performance planning goals
- Possess a high degree of adaptability within a work environment and the ability to coach others directly and effectively
- Ability to recognize organizational barriers and work with executive management to address them or transform them into opportunities

**Additional Skills Desired**:

- The following traits would be a plus:

- Any additional scrum or agile certifications (CSPO, CSP, PSM I, PMI-ACP)
- Strong Technical background on mircoservices and UX/UI

**Experience**
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- CSM,PSM, CSP and other Agile certifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- 4+ years of strong experience in Scrum Master of Agile Project Manager Role.
- 5+ years experience working in Agile Development Environments.
- Experience in Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD)
- Experience in agile methodologies and test driven development.
- Experience in software development using open source technologies.
- Experience in automated software testing.

**Change Knowledge**
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
- Good track record of communicating effectively with both business and IT staff at all levels.
- Experience in promoting DevOps culture among developers and testers.
- Good presentation skills.
