Prepare and cook continental dishes according to standard recipes
- Contribute to menu planning and development
- Supervise and train kitchen staff
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels
- Oversee the proper storage of food and ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the head chef on special events and promotions
- Assist in creating innovative and visually appealing dishes
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Manage food costing and portion control
- Provide leadership and support to the culinary team
- Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and facilities
- Contribute to continuous improvement in kitchen operations
- Execute and supervise food presentations
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a continental DCDP chef or similar role
- Diploma in culinary arts or relevant field
- Advanced knowledge of continental cuisine
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- High level of creativity and innovation
- Solid organizational and time management abilities
- Familiarity with inventory management software
- Up-to-date knowledge of culinary trends and techniques
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Precision and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Physical stamina and dexterity
