Duties and Responsibilities:
1. You will work in partnership with patients in a holistic and insightful manner, facilitating their consideration
of change and supporting them in taking control of their recovery journey.
2. Conduct comprehensive assessments, including evaluating mental health needs, conducting risk
assessments, and administering psychometric tests.
3. Develop a psychological formulation to provide a clear understanding of the patient's issues.
4. Establish a collaborative and trusting working relationship with patients, based on mutual respect.
5. Design and implement specialized psychological treatments to help patients gain insight into their emotions
and behaviors, creating an individualized counseling plan (ICP) tailored to their needs.
6. Empower patients to address their issues, take ownership of their recovery, and make positive changes in
their behavior.
7. Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of treatments to ensure their effectiveness.
8. Collaborate with colleagues, the multidisciplinary team, and referrers to plan and provide services that meet
the patient's needs, offering advice and expertise.
9. Effectively communicate complex and sensitive information, both verbally and in writing, to patients,
families, and caregivers.
10. Contribute to research, service evaluation, and audits, either independently or as part of a team.
11. Engage in continuous personal and professional development to stay updated with the latest knowledge
and skills.
12. Participate in organizational and administrative tasks in a collaborative manner.
