- POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Indirect Procurement Data Product Owner will support driving and delivering insights that will educate and influence business decisions by our Indirect Procurement Teams and internal customers procuring indirect goods and services. This role will support the process of identifying value and delivering incremental value for the company. As we shift from descriptive to prescriptive analytics, this position will aid in the creation of the long-term goal of Orchestrated Indirect Spend Management for Trane Technologies. The Indirect Procurement Data Product Owner will proactively work with developers to provide automated system solutions to discover business opportunities, to provide actionable insights, to drive business results and system simplification, and to ensure the customer is successful. The Indirect Procurement Data Product Owner works directly with customers and developers to identify and clarify their functional and technical requirements, generally through face-to-face meetings and hands-on review of the data products in progress. This creates a direct line of communication between the business owners who know what they need, and the developers who know how to deliver their requirements in the most technically achievable way. The Indirect Procurement Data Product Owner will also monitor and manage the portfolio of projects that are in the development pipeline, working with leadership to maximize the benefit for the organization.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- **Gather business requirements** from the broad range of system stakeholders - and to identify the underlying business drivers for reporting needs
- Assess whether the **identified requirements** are best met by the reporting solution as per the business practices and compliance needs
- **Identify** and** **quantify** the relative **business value** of each requested feature in order to provide a value-driven priority list to the development team.
- **Collaborate** with the development team to provide the best technical solution
- **Put together any additional information** needed to support the requirements (e.g. sample reports, detailed business rules)
- Represent the interests of the business user on those occasions when they have limited availability to work with the development team
- **Prepare, document, and perform test cases** to validate developed solution meets desired business outcomes
- Undertake more time-consuming activities on behalf of the business users, such as detailed **acceptance testing or training**:

- **Establish and implement rollout strategies**, including stakeholder communication, supporting documentation, and training materials for each target audience.
- Assisting in project management and quality management compliance work
- Identifying and **implementing business process improvements** in conjunction with the delivered solution

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

- Experience facilitating customer information gathering and documenting requirements
- Ability to communicate the requirements to the developers
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Supply Chain knowledge, especially in Indirect Procurement
- Focus on customer relationship with the business owner to understand their needs and how to translate them for developers
- Agile / SCRUM experience / Waterfall project management experience
- Ability to write SQL and to understand relational system design
- Jira experience a plus
- Min 5+ Years of Exp. in relevent field.
