As an IPO Buyer, your primary responsibility will be the sourcing and purchasing of materials on behalf of the company from international markets, primarily India. You will manage the entire purchasing process, which involves identifying potential suppliers, conducting negotiations, and administering contracts. The IPO Buyer will also contribute to the company’s global sourcing strategy and assist in the development and maintenance of international purchasing offices. This role demands a strategic mindset, negotiation finesse, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in global sourcing. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping the success of our international procurement efforts
- This is a Fixed Term Contract position for a duration of 12 monthsDuties & Responsibilities

What you'll do
- **Sourcing Excellence**: Identify potential suppliers on a global scale. Conduct comprehensive evaluations, comparing products, quality, and pricing to determine optimal fits for the company's requirements.
- **Negotiations**: Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure the most favorable terms of purchase for the company.
- **Contracts Management**: Administer supplier contracts, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon terms, including timelines, product quality, and other specified conditions.
- **Supplier Development**: Collaborate closely with Suppliers Development Team working towards enhanced performance and maintaining a high-quality supply chain for identified suppliers.
- **Network Structuring**: Develop, maintain, and improve supplier networks to optimize efficiency and reliability.
- **Quality Control**: Oversee the quality control process, ensuring that all sourced goods meet the company’s established quality standards.
- **Strategic Planning**: Contribute to the development and implementation of the company’s global sourcing strategy.
- **Reporting**: Provide regular reports on procurement activities, costs, or performance metrics.
- **Strategy Alignment**: Ensure the alignment of the sourcing strategy with the global category strategy, fostering a harmonious and integrated approach throughout all sourcing endeavours.
- **IPO Management**: Assist in establishing and managing International Purchasing Offices, contributing to their development and success.
- **Cultural Mediation**: Act as a cultural broker, facilitating effective communication and business dealings between the company and internationals suppliers

The Individual

What you'll definitely need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field; master's degree is a plus.
- 4 - 5 years of proven experience as a buyer / sourcing specialist or a similar role in an international environment.
- Solid understanding of technical specifications, engineering drawings, and materials/components.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to balance technical requirements and cost considerations.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
- Knowledge of global sourcing and procurement strategies.
- Proficient in report writing, technical documentation, and communication of complex technical concepts.
- Experience in working within a global matrix management structure.
- Analytical mindset with a strong attention to details.
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical requirements effectively.
- Problem-solving skills to address technical and procurement challenges.
- Strong project management skills to coordinate with stakeholder within the project timelines.
