Accountant II

The Accounting & Reporting Accountant II provides timely and accurate financial record keeping and reporting as directed by management. This job is responsible for preparing journal entries, financial statements and participating in closing processes. Under moderate supervision, this job performs a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to ensure that the company is in compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepares balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports in accordance with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
- Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
- Performs monthly and quarterly close and consolidation processes based on to ensure timely completion and accuracy.
- Maintains accounting statements, reports, GL accounts, cost revenue reports, balance sheets, and / or bank statement reconciliations in order to ensure smooth functioning of Accounting processes.
- Verifies accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records including detailing financial business transactions (e.g., invoice approvals, disbursements, expense vouchers, and wire payments).
- Researches the impacts of new accounting standards, reporting requirements, and regulatory standards on existing and new transaction accounting regulations.

Educational Requirements
- University (Degree) Preferred

- 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred

General Purpose: The person will support accounting and finance by performing day to day accounting tasks, account analysis, and month end closing activities, with the goal of producing accurate financial statements while adhering to appropriate internal controls and meeting deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Prepare monthly journal entries
- Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement and cash flows)
- Prepare assigned balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly prepaid accounts for general, rent and maintenance expenses, deposit accounts reconciliations,
- Prepare monthly accruals and other month end activities
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement variance analysis
- Prepare cost allocation workings and reconciliations
- Assist with maintaining adequate internal controls within the accounting processes to ensure well documented, accurate and timely financial reporting
- Assist with updating internal control narratives, flowcharts, and preparation of schedules for auditors
- Preparation of annual statutory financial statement in line with IND AS And get it audited.
- Preparation of lease entries as per IND AS 116
- Prepare monthly revenue invoices.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as needed

Desired Qualifications:

- Education and Experience: CA final/Inter with 2-4 years of experience knowledge of the monthly and annual closing process. Statutory and internal audits
- Prior experience of PeopleSoft.
