Education: MS Clinical Psychology with MPhil /fellowship in Psycho-Oncology
Experience: Fresher (MPhil/Fellowship) or Minimum 1 yr experience in Oncology
Shift: General Shift 09:00am to 05:30pm
JD:
- To update with adequate knowledge of oncology and working principles of psychology in an oncology setting
- To assess and identify psychological distress in cancer patients/caregivers/families
- Identify psychological distress in cancer patients/caregivers/families that warrant further psychological evaluation and counseling
- Coordinating and communicating with consultants regarding the need for psycho-oncological consultation at out-patient and in-patient departments
- Implementation of SOPs and processes designed by the department
- Conducting sessions with patients/caregivers who report mild to moderate distress (OP & IP), using appropriate psychological interventions and documentation in appropriate medicine records.
- Initiate tobacco cessation counseling and de-addiction program.
- Teaching and conducting relaxation techniques for patients/caregivers
- To undergo on-going training in psychology, psycho-oncology and tobacco cessation and related oncological concepts
- Assist in conducting family sessions with consultants and/or senior psychologist
- Take part in the formation and facilitation of support groups
- Plan, conduct and take initiative in research studies with the senior psychologist
- Taking note of the patients getting discharged in the IP and number of patients in OP
- Participating, coordinating, and conducting in-house training for nurses and other staff in the identification and understanding of psychological issues and distress state
- Performing appropriate psychological assessments for patient warrants clinical diagnosis
- Attending conferences, workshops, discussion etc., related to psycho-oncology in hospital and outside
- Organizing and conducting workshops and programs in psycho-oncology, involve in training program
Participating in out-reach programs and cancer awareness programs
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
