**Primary responsibilities are**:

- Processes thorough understanding of the revenue cycle with specialization in physician billing, follow up and the account resolution process.
- Utilizes and applies knowledge to resolve aged accounts.
- Research, appeal and resolve unpaid insurance claims.
- Manage work queues for follow up and denials by engaging payer websites and initiate calls in order to ensure prompt payment of claims.
- Identifies denial trends and notifies Supervisor to prevent future denials and further delay in payments.
- Respond to correspondence from insurance carriers.
- Work assigned claim volume timely and efficiently.
- Understanding billing department functions including medical coding, claims and reimbursements.
- Review superbills to cross reference diagnosis codes and reconcile codes against performed medical services.
- Accurately input procedure and diagnosis codes into billing software to generate claims, modifiers and diagnosis.
- Actively follow up and collect on all electronic claims, including resolution of any billing errors.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduate with at least 2 years of recent experience in Medical Billing and Claims.
- Experience in working with insurance companies, filing appeals, and identifying requirements for specific coverage criteria.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
