**Job Title**: Food Scientist

**Location**: Dankuni, Hooghly

**Job Details**:
As a Food Scientist, you will play a critical role in the research, development, and enhancement of food products. You will utilize your expertise in food chemistry, microbiology, and engineering principles to create innovative and safe food products that meet consumer demands, regulatory standards, and business objectives.

**Responsibilities**:
**1) Research and Development**: Conduct research to identify new ingredients, technologies, and processes that can improve the quality, taste, nutritional value, and safety of food products.

**2) Formulation**: Develop and optimize formulations for new and existing food products, considering factors such as flavor, texture, shelf-life, and nutritional content.

**3) Product Testing**: Design and execute experiments to evaluate the sensory attributes, stability, and safety of food products. Analyze data and make recommendations for adjustments or improvements.

**4) Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

**5) Sourcing and Procurement**: Work with suppliers to source raw materials and ingredients that meet quality standards and specifications. Evaluate supplier performance and provide recommendations for sourcing strategies.

**6) Continuous Learning**: Stay abreast of industry trends, scientific advancements, and emerging technologies in food science through professional development activities, conferences, and literature reviews.

**Requirements**:
1) Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field. Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred.

2) Proven experience of 1 year in food product development, preferably in a research and development or quality assurance role within the food industry.

3) Strong knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology, and food processing principles. Experience with food formulation and sensory evaluation techniques.

4) Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to food safety, labeling, and packaging.

5) Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools/software.

6) Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

7) Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
