Microbiologist

**Description**
- Perform microbiological testing on various samples, including environmental, food, water, clinical, and pharmaceutical samples, using standard laboratory techniques and protocols.
- Prepare and sterilize media, reagents, and culture plates for microbiological assays.
- Isolate, cultivate, and characterize microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites, using aseptic techniques.
- Conduct biochemical, serological, and molecular assays to identify and characterize microbial isolates.
- Perform antimicrobial susceptibility testing to evaluate the effectiveness of antibiotics and other antimicrobial agents against bacterial pathogens.
- Analyze and interpret microbiological data, including colony morphology, growth characteristics, biochemical reactions, and test results.
- Document test procedures, results, and observations accurately in laboratory notebooks, databases, or electronic record-keeping systems.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and supplies in good working condition, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
- Participate in laboratory quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) activities, including proficiency testing, equipment calibration, and validation studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers, quality assurance specialists, and regulatory affairs personnel, to support research, product development, or regulatory compliance efforts.
