Interior Designer(Pytha)

Job Overview:
As the Senior Pytha Designer, you will be responsible for using Pytha, a specialized 3D CAD software, to create detailed and accurate designs for our furniture products. Your expertise will play a critical role in transforming conceptual ideas into functional and visually appealing furniture pieces.

**Responsibilities**:
1. 3D Modeling and Rendering:
a) Front end designing
- Utilize Pytha software to create detailed 3D models of furniture designs.
- Generate realistic renderings that showcase design concepts to internal teams and clients.
- Interact with Sales/Design Relationship team or Client's designer/architect for getting clarity on inputs as required.
- Highlight critical issues from production viewpoint and offer suggestions.
- Finalize the drawing and produce the part list.
- Send the Part list to Estimation team for pricing and preparation of quotation.
- Ensure the timelines are met as per agreed norms.
- Endeavour to create libraries in Pytha to optimize the design process and reduce cycle time.

b) Production drawings
- Receive Sales Order from Sales team.
- Convert the drawings created in Pytha into production drawings.
- Coordinate with Projects team for actual site measurements as required.
- Seek clarifications as required from Design Relationship team /Client representative.
- Finalize the " good for production" drawing and part drawings for manufacturing; ensure that drawings are suitable to port directly on CNC machines, where possible
- Generate Bill of Materials for Material Requisition
- Coordinate with Production team for process planning
- Troubleshoot issues during Production and Assembly arising due to design.

2. Design Interpretation, R&D and Prediction:

- Interpret and understand design concepts provided by the creative and product development teams.
- Translate conceptual sketches and ideas into detailed Pytha models with precision.
- Ensuring the accurate execution of designs and planning prediction schedule.

3. Collaboration with Design Team:

- Collaborate closely with other designers, engineers, and product developers to ensure seamless integration of design concepts.
- Provide technical insights to enhance the feasibility and manufacturability of designs.

4. Design Modification and Optimization:

- Work closely with the design team to modify and optimize furniture designs for production efficiency.
- Propose design adjustments to enhance functionality, cost-effectiveness, and ease of manufacturing.
- Creating Bill of materials (BOM) for Indenting and Procuring.

5. Material and Finish Selection:

- Specify materials and finishes in collaboration with the design and engineering teams.
- Ensure that material selections align with manufacturing capabilities and quality standards.

6. Presentation and Documentation:

- Prepare and present design concepts to internal teams and clients.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, including technical drawings and specifications.

7. Quality Control Support:

- Work closely with the quality control team to address any design-related issues during the manufacturing process.
- Ensure that the final products meet or exceed design and quality standards.
- Ensuring that the produced Furniture in the factory is of the highest quality, also, creating quality parameters to match international standards.

8. Resource Planning, Training and Mentorship:

- Manage rostering of team to ensure effective utilization and maintaining timelines.
- Forecast resource requirements based on company growth plans.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers within the team.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance the team's proficiency in Pytha software.
- Ensure that self and team are trained in all aspects of Pytha (CAD) software, keep abreast of updates/revisions/new features in Pytha.
- Research on new designs available in the market globally and create awareness within design and sales team.
- Keep updated of various brands of accessories available, trained on their usage and create their libraries in Pytha.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Pytha Designer, preferably in the furniture manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in Pytha and Auto CAD software for 3D modeling and rendering.
- Strong understanding of furniture design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in 3D modeling.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
