Overview: As a Solar Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems. Key Responsibilities:
Installation: Install, assemble, and mount solar panels, inverters, batteries, and other components of solar energy systems on rooftops, structures, or ground mounts.
Wiring and Electrical Work: Perform electrical wiring, connections, and configurations to ensure proper functioning and optimal performance of solar systems. Adhere to electrical codes and safety standards.
Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, and maintenance of solar arrays and associated equipment to maximize energy production and system lifespan.
Diagnostics and Repairs: Identify and troubleshoot system malfunctions, faults, or performance issues. Replace or repair faulty components, such as inverters or wiring, to restore system functionality.
Testing and Commissioning: Test and commission newly installed solar systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely. Monitor system performance and adjust settings as needed.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with electrical components and at heights. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow best practices to mitigate risks.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installation, maintenance, and repair activities. Document system configurations, equipment specifications, and any changes made.
