**Job Description: Accounts Executive**

**Position**: Accounts Executive

**Reporting To**: Head of Finance / Finance Controller
**Location**: Chennai
**Type**: Full-Time

**Job Purpose**

The Accounts Executive is responsible for assisting and supporting the Head of Finance with maintaining and controlling the financial operations of the hotel. The role involves hands-on involvement in daily accounting functions, ensuring compliance with established procedures, and delivering accurate financial data to support business operations.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- **Daily Transaction Verification**:

- Check all outlet bills to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Verify original bills with supporting vouchers, ensuring all are duly signed by authorized personnel.
- **Staff Ledger Management**:

- Review daily staff ledger details and prepare deduction statements.
- Forward deduction statements to HR before salary processing.
- **Bank and Chargeback Monitoring**:

- Ensure no chargebacks from banks and promptly inform the Finance Controller of any such instances.
- Collaborate with the team to take corrective actions or recover amounts related to chargebacks.
- **Voucher and Document Management**:

- Maintain accurate and organized records of financial documents, including vouchers and supporting bills.
- **Support Financial Operations**:

- Assist the Head of Finance with regular audits and compliance checks.
- Provide support for monthly closing activities and preparation of financial reports.

**Skills & Competencies**
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
- Attention to detail and ability to verify financial documents accurately.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
- Understanding of banking processes and handling chargebacks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication skills for coordination with various departments.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related fields (B.Com/M.Com preferred).
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- **Certifications**: GST Practitioner, Tally Certification, or relevant finance certifications (preferred).

**Work Environment**
- Based in a hotel or hospitality setting in Chennai.
- Collaborative role requiring coordination with multiple departments, including HR and Operations.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
