- Social Compact is a multi-stakeholder platform that seeks to ensure greater dignity and equity for 1- million industry-engaged informal workers and their families in India. Anchored by Dasra, it brings- worker organizations such as Aajeevika Bureau and Centre for Social Justice, into a co-solutioning- space with industry leaders such as Forbes Marshall and Thermax and others, to achieve this- objective. It has developed a framework of 6 human-centric outcomes that underpin the- vulnerability of workers and can be influenced by the industry’s worker practices.- Social Compact is designed as an enablement platform that helps companies strengthen business- systems and practices to ensure greater action, better transparency, and accountability for the well-being of informal workers in their ecosystem, while also preparing them for the growing demand for- local and global disclosures. Through extensive 1:1 engagement, the Compact provides companies- with systemic recommendations on these outcomes into existing business policies, monitoring, and- reporting systems, and enables ideation of a new solution, itself or through third-party experts.- About the role:
- Designation: Associate- Location: Mumbai- Description: Associates at Dasra are responsible for end-to-end execution of the various- engagements under mínimal supervision. With 3-4 years of experience and strong management- skills, an Associate in the Social Compact team will work with a combination of verticals within the- team.- Key responsibilities:
- Research and communication:

- o Conduct detailed research on companies, and their public reports and analyze their- data to develop an understanding of their social sustainability and worker-related- practices- o Develop a deep understanding of informal worker challenges and issues, linking- insights from the ground to a system-level understanding of worker-related- practices in companies- o Create compelling written / presentation materials that influence companies,- ecosystem partners, and internal stakeholders- Programme components:

- o Lead in carrying out site visits of member companies and conduct FGDs with workers- with sensitivity- o Support end-to-end engagement with companies to advise them on improving their- informal worker practices and social sustainability- o Communicate effectively and build relationships with the internal team and external- NGO leaders, companies, and ecosystem partners- o Develop an understanding of global discourse on business and human rights, and the- ‘S’ of ESG through international and Indian sustainability disclosures- Team:

- o Drive excellence in the delivery of the multiple project tasks allocated- o Design robust and effective processes for management within the team- Key skills and requirements:
- Trustworthy and confident external stakeholder engagement with companies, NGO leaders,
- and ecosystem partners and management of relationships towards multiple goals / projects- / Deliverables- Strong research rigor and capacity to link primary and secondary research
- Draws accurate insights from gathered information. Prioritizes, structures, and organizes
- information effectively, using spreadsheets or simple data analysis tools where needed.- Strong structure and organization in written and verbal content and can put forth points
