**How do you fit in**
- Given the core role of inorganic growth within the strategy, the complexity of business integration, and the international nature of our ambitions, you will have the keystone responsibility of providing Climate Connect with highly pertinent M&A advice and insights for acquisition targets across international jurisdictions.

As the
**Associate, M&A and Inorganic Development**, you will assist in the assessment, due diligence, negotiation, and execution of all M&A matters, spanning the breadth of strategic and commercial considerations related to M&A. You will act as a trusted advisor to the top management on fund-raising, investment and partnership strategy, and all execution-related aspects.

**Job responsibilities**
- Drive all stages of the process including origination, valuation, due diligence, transaction execution and paperwork, integration, and investor relations and reporting
- Think Big - Develop and implement industry insights on international M&A
- Work on deal origination by screening and sourcing targets through primary/secondary research and tapping into banker networks
- Creation of marketing documents for internal and external purposes, such as pitches, investment thesis, teasers, info-memos, management updates, etc.
- Financial modelling to underpin and validate M&A strategies and investment cases
- Identifying and evaluating M&A risk factors and how these impact business strategy
- Engage with potential investors, and evaluate term-sheets
- Manage relationships with professional advisors including bankers, lawyers and consultants
- Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate and analyse opportunities, and present recommendations on strategic fit, optimal deal structure and transactional issues
- Transaction execution and integration

**Job requirements**
- Strong presentation skills, commercial sense and a knack of thinking from a business standpoint, experience of crafting multiple marketing documents like pitches, profiles, teasers, info-memos, etc.
- Strong quantitative and accounting skills - having a deep understanding of valuation and broad finance and advanced financial & analytical skills, including financial modelling, to underpin investment cases
- Experience working on deals through the entire execution phase. Experience working on cross-border mandates welcomed
- Consistently produce work to a high standard of quality, thoughtfulness and insight within prompt deadlines
- An outstanding appreciation for accuracy of information and clean formatting
- Adherence to strict confidentiality
- Ability to earn the trust and respect of client teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong work ethic, a “team player,” organized and high level of attention to detail
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and shows initiative
- Knowledge of additional European languages an added advantage
- Energy market experience will be an added advantage.
