**The Role**: Data Researcher I/Data Analyst

**The Team**:
The position is for the Media & Communication Industry Content in the Industry, Assets & Corporate Data (IACD) domain within S&P Global Market Intelligence. Media/TMT includes wide suite of product offering across the four core Media industry segments of: Communications, Media & Entertainment, New Media, and Technology.

**The Impact**:
The analyst will be responsible for working effectively and constructively with a diverse group of data management, product, research, and technology teams on TMT product evolution & expansion, operational transformation, client-first projects and initiatives. We cater to the needs of both internal and external clients including Media Research counterparts who rely on our team in terms extracting, transferring, and loading of data for their research or article production while our external clients include the likes of Netflix, Time Warner, NBCUniversal, MTV, Cartoon Network, Singtel, AT&T to name a few of our global industry players. They use our data in making sound and efficient business analysis and decisions.

**Responsibilities**:
Performs straightforward, stand-alone tasks or transactions within detailed instructions and predefined procedures.
Responsible for entering and editing data in work tools as per specified guidelines and checklists.
Utilize loaders and back fillers to perform data loads.
Analyze error trends and root causes of opportunity areas
Identify procedural gaps, and data inconsistencies, and work with team to improve them.
Provides input and ideas for new collection methods and product enhancements related to the dataset.
Fosters innovation by identifying enhancement initiatives that support our LEAN philosophy.
Troubleshoot problems or issues and provide support to the team
Lead initiatives which foster department’s performance and ensure support to the operations for department level deliverables

**What We’re Looking For**:
**Qualification**:
MBA or Bachelor’s preferably degree in Technology, Media or Telecommunication would be added advantage.
Bachelor of Technology with an inclination to work in non-financial content
Hand on experience on Advanced MS Excel and SQL is a must.
Keen to details with strong focus on data quality and project delivery.
Ability to communicate with people at different levels of the organization and across a wide spectrum of cultures.
Proven ability to work with mínimal direction, maintain focus while working with routine tasks and demonstrate multitasking.
Able to collaborate across multiple cultures/sites.
Possesses operational excellence, processes, and lean mindset.
A good track record of problem resolution/stakeholder management.
Highly reliable, competitive mindset with flexible approach to business need.
Any related industry background is an advantage.
