**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the ETP, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards
- Conduct jar tests in routine to optimise dosage of chemicals
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the ETP, and ensure that all staff are trained and following procedures
- Manage a team of ETP operators, providing leadership, coaching, and support to ensure success
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies and other stakeholders, ensuring that the mill is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations
- Monitor and analyze ETP performance data, and implement changes to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Develop and manage the ETP budget, ensuring that targets are met or exceeded
- Collaborate closely with other departments, including production and maintenance, to ensure that the ETP is aligned with the mill's overall strategy
- Ensure that all ETP equipment is properly maintained and serviced, and that spare parts and consumables are available when needed
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on ETP performance, including discharge quality, volumes, and costs
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans for the ETP, and conduct regular drills to ensure that staff are prepared in the event of an emergency

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in operating and maintaining ETP in a paper or pulp mill
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with automated ETP systems and control systems

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 75% (preferred)
