Structured hybrid role:
Introduction:
Responsible for driving all technical aspects of delivery, setting and improving technical direction and standards for development and design across the platforms that support our products and services for Barclays UK customers.
This role will report directly to the Global Head of Digital, Everyday Money Management (EMM) and is responsible for designing and building Digital platforms for EMM.

What will you be doing?
- Develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. You will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud stacks, educating teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensuring the security of the cloud infrastructure.
- Work with Designer and other stakeholder’s and CTO (Chief Technology Office) and CSO (Chief Security Office) and architect to develop and deliver API for Customer Onboarding Domain.
- Lead operation activities by following DevSecOps model, educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

- Must have Computer Science Degree with hands-on experience in building cloud native solutions
- Strong technical working experience in software engineering and design roles
- Significant software development experience, with multiple programming languages
- Designing, developing and deploying modular cloud-based systems.
- Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
- Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
- Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
- Interacting with internal and external teams, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on business need
- Strong experience of Agile and DevOps principles, tools and practices
- Experience with automation and cloud technologies
- Strong analytical skills and proven ability to simplify and clearly communicate complex analytical outcomes, linkages and messages to both technical and non-technical audiences

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Degree in computer science or a similar field.
- At least 3 years of experience in the field of cloud computing.
- Experience with CI/CD systems.
- Troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Client management skills.
- Azure, AWS, and GCP certifications preferred.
- Experience with SysOps
- Experience in Financial Industry
