**Job Description: Biology Teacher (AP Course)**
**Responsibilities**:
1. **Curriculum Development and Delivery**:
- Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials for the AP Biology course, ensuring alignment with AP standards and guidelines.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, hands-on laboratory activities, multimedia resources, and technology, to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of biology.
2. **Assessment and Progress Monitoring**:
- Create and administer formative and summative assessments, including quizzes, tests, projects, and presentations, to evaluate students' comprehension and mastery of course content.
- Analyze assessment results to identify individual learning needs and adapt instructional strategies accordingly to support student growth and achievement.
3. **Classroom Management and Engagement**:
- Establish a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes respectful interactions, collaboration, and active participation among students.
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to maintain a safe and conducive learning environment.
4. **Student Support and Feedback**:
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students, offering extra help and clarification when needed.
- Offer constructive feedback on assignments, projects, and assessments to help students improve their skills and knowledge.
5. **Professional Development**:
- Stay current with advancements in the field of biology and education, attending workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance teaching methodologies and content knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental discussions on curriculum enhancement and instructional best practices.
6. **Parent and Stakeholder Communication**:
- Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on students' progress and addressing any concerns or inquiries in a timely manner.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or credentials.
- Demonstrated expertise in AP Biology curriculum and teaching methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Experience in developing engaging and differentiated instructional materials.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and multimedia resources.
- Passion for education, biology, and inspiring students to explore and excel in the field.
**Preferred**:
- Previous experience teaching AP Biology or similar advanced-level courses.
- Familiarity with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and inquiry-based learning approaches.
- Experience in designing and conducting laboratory experiments.
- Contributions to professional organizations or educational publications.
- Willing to move to Mumbai.
**Salary**: ₹9,278.97 - ₹60,000.00 per month
