**Team Background**

The ESG Analytics and Portfolio Insights team is a part of the Data Solutions organization within the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB)'s Securities Services group, a newly formed business offering best-in-class data solutions for our institutional clients. Our mission is to deliver a next generation cloud-native data and analytics ecosystem, supporting client needs across the investment lifecycle.

**Stakeholder engagement**

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product development, product, middle office and the Ops teams

Engage with external stakeholders, including market data vendors, to gather information and insights

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Works independently as well as in a team, to produce data analytics
- Analyst will support the on-going development of the analytical products by assisting with research, contributing towards business requirements and supporting business testing
- Maintain a thorough understanding of industry, market and regulatory developments related to ESG reporting, engagement and disclosure requirements for asset owners and asset managers
- Work collaboratively across the firms sustainability initiatives and teams, ensuring you report back with measurable progress and continuous improvement
- Interpreting investment mandates to identify "rules" impacting the ESG regulations on clients investments
- Assist in developing and maintaining ESG reporting frameworks, metrics, and scorecards.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding ESG / PI reporting
- Resolve issues relating to daily/monthly reporting
- Establish and maintain relationships with key internal operations
- Partner with Client Service to help change client behavior where required
- Understand and be able to source/calculate underlying analytics
- Collect, analyze, and interpret ESG data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor portfolio performance
- Be able to Interpret and write commentary on results
- Handle client reporting and prepare custom reports, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Participate in the development and testing of product enhancements
- Develop strong contextual awareness of client, regulatory and firm-wide sustainability topics and trends
- Develop an understanding of financial models, sustainability models and scenario analysis based models.
- Recommending a course of action based on the investigation to assist the fund managers to take corrective action
- Actively engage in client service review meetings and calls
- Support the on-boarding of new clients and maintain the set-up of existing clients
- Ensure 100% adherence to operational controls and risk mitigation

**Qualifications**:

- 10-12 years of related industry experience, either in Investment Analytics or related field
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or related field or equal experience
- Understanding of and enthusiasm towards ESG : Genesis, Future State, Scoring Mechanisms
- Strong written and oral communications skills to effectively communicate with clients
- Positive attitude with a willingness to work as part of a team
- Attention to detail with demonstrable problem-solving ability
- Strategic thinker looking outside to bring new approaches to continually improve internal

Effectiveness
- Practical understanding of ESG data and methodologies
- Relevant experience in a mix of financial markets and sustainability roles
