Translator/interpreter

We are looking for an experienced Translator who can translate Odia and Bengali data into English on **an assignment basis.**

**Responsibilities**
- Read given material (in excel, word or other document) and translate the same into English
- Ensure that translated content matches with the original meaning / data
- Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check quality of translation
- Proofread translated data for grammar & spelling accuracy
- **Well versed with MS Excel and word.**

**Requirements and skills**
- Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role who can translate **Bengali and Odia data into English.**:

- **Fluency in at least two languages (preferably Hindi and English) in addition to your native languages (Bengali and Odia)**:

- Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar and spelling errors
- Familiarity with translation software
- Time-management skills
- Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fresher, Contractual / Temporary, Freelance

**Salary**: ₹6,000.00 - ₹7,000.00 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hooghly, West Bengal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- total work: 1 year (preferred)
