A Nuclear Medicine Physician specializes in the use of radioactive substances and advanced imaging technology for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. They work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide accurate assessments of medical conditions and contribute to treatment planning.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Patient Consultation:

- Conduct consultations with patients to gather medical histories and discuss potential nuclear medicine procedures.
- Explain procedures, risks, and benefits to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

2. **Diagnostic Imaging**:

- Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies using radioactive tracers to visualize organ function, blood flow, and metabolic activity.
- Collaborate with radiologic technologists to ensure the proper administration of radioactive materials.

**3.** **Therapeutic Interventions**:

- Administer therapeutic doses of radioactive substances for the treatment of certain medical conditions, such as hyperthyroidism or cancer.
- Monitor patients during and after treatment to assess response and manage potential side effects.

4. **Equipment Operation**:

- Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment, including gamma cameras, PET scanners, and other nuclear medicine instrumentation.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated and functioning properly to obtain accurate and reliable results.

**5.** **Radiation Safety**:

- Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and themselves.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in radiation safety and implement best practices in the field.

**6.** **Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other medical professionals, including radiologists, oncologists, and referring physicians, to integrate nuclear medicine findings into overall patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss treatment plans and patient progress.

**7.** **Research and Education**:

- Engage in research activities to advance the field of nuclear medicine and contribute to scientific literature.
- Provide education and training to medical students, residents, and healthcare professionals on nuclear medicine principles and practices.

**8.** **Continuous Professional Development**:

- Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology, research, and clinical practices through ongoing education and participation in conferences and workshops.

**Salary**: ₹350,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per month
