**QUALIFICATION**:
- B.Sc / M.Sc. - Clinical Nutrition and Dietitics
- Certificate course on Clinical Dietitics
- Post-Graduation Diploma in Dietitics
- Registered with State license
**EXPERIENCE**:
- Minimum 0 -1 years as dietitian in the IPD of a hospital
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assessing the nutritional requirement of patients admitted in the hospital
- Coordinating with the treating consultant and health care team concerning the nutritional care of patients
- Surveying food preparation and distribution for safe practices ensuring variety, adequate seasoning, visual appeal, proper temperature, and appropriate portion sizes
- Counseling of patients, families, and staff about patient’s dietary requirements
- Following up for feedback from the patients and handling food related complaints to resolve the problems, maintaining all such data
- Developing specialised diets using appropriate dietary modifications where necessary; supervising menu planning with food supply vendor and hospital kitchen and also for specific diets for patients with renal, hypertensive, diabetic, GI symptoms (Gluten, Lactose, Coeliac etc.), post operative and paediatric patients
- Working with the canteen committee to receive constructive ideas and suggestions and to provide education to patients and their families
- Developing SOPs, nutrition literature, patient education materials, patient diet plans/charts on behalf of the hospital
- Maintaining patient counselling data
- Attending related conferences and interdisciplinary meetings
- Conducting awareness / training sessions for Training interns (for General internship/Specialised internship)
- Any other work/responsibility assigned by the HOD/Management in the course of business/work whether within the same unit/dept or any other unit/dept from time to time
