Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:
- **Design Conceptualization**:
- Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and creative jewelry concepts.
- Translate design briefs and customer preferences into unique, marketable jewelry designs.
- **Sketching and Rendering**:
- Create detailed sketches and digital renderings of jewelry designs, considering various materials, gemstones, and settings.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to bring concepts to life and make necessary modifications.
- **Material Selection**:
- Stay informed about the latest trends in materials and gemstones.
- Work closely with suppliers to source high-quality materials that align with design specifications and budget constraints.
- **Prototype Development**:
- Oversee the development of prototypes to ensure they accurately represent the design vision.
- Collaborate with the production team to address any technical challenges during the prototyping phase.
- **Quality Control**:
- Conduct thorough quality checks on finished jewelry pieces to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Provide feedback and guidance to the production team for continuous improvement.
- **Market Research**:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to inform design decisions.
- Participate in trade shows and events to gather inspiration and stay connected with the jewelry design community.
- **Customer Interaction**:
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to understand customer preferences and feedback.
- Customize designs based on specific customer requests, ensuring a personalized experience.
- **Documentation**:
- Maintain detailed records of design concepts, specifications, and revisions.
- Create and update design documentation for each jewelry piece.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a jewelry designer with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design styles.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- In-depth knowledge of gemstones, metals, and jewelry manufacturing processes.
- Strong artistic and creative abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
